Had the chance to revisit my childhood favourite, Yuk Kee, and it instantly brought back so many memories. Their signature Hainanese pork chop with gravy is still as comforting and satisfying as I remember. The pork chop was perfectly fried — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. What truly makes it special is the rich, savoury Hainanese gravy poured generously over the meat. It pairs so well with the soft peas, onions, and fries on the side. Simple, classic, and full of nostalgic flavours. Some places change over time, but Yuk Kee continues to deliver that same old-school taste that keeps you coming back. Definitely a spot that holds a special place in my heart. 💛

I arrived with one set of expectations but left with a completely different understanding of why Yut Kee is so beloved. It is a charming relic of old-school Hainanese cuisine, serving flavors that are subtle and balanced rather than pungent or overwhelming. Despite the 9:30 AM 'full house' rush, the service was impressively efficient; we were seated in under 10 minutes. We sampled the Lum Mee, Chicken Chop, and steamed bread—none of which strive for modern 'gourmet' complexity, but instead offer a nostalgic, comforting culinary adventure.

Came to the oldest kopitiam in KL. My review is based on beef noodle soup only. Personally i find that their beef noodle soup a bit lacking, some flavours are missing. Overall taste still fine. Cham si is okay. I have to give it to them, the boss service is excellent. The place is fullhouse at 11am on weekday. However, the queue moved quickly. I came with a friend. We need to share table with another two strangers. It’s fine. This is the place where you eat and go. Will i come back? Yes Probably yes Maybe Probably no ✅ No
