This place is super nice. Has great food, great service and great atmosphere. When we went it was fully packed and there was a line outside. We waited around 15 to 20 mins to get a table. Waiters were all very nice. The food was super good. They give complimentary fresh bread. The aesthetics were also great. Felt like I was transported out of KL and into some fancy restaurant in Iraq.

Great service and atmosphere! My god they serve you properly here, first there is a complementary soup which caught by surprise. The portions are really big here so order carefully if you are not a big eater like me. The hummus amazingly creamy and great flavours, you could really taste the nice fresh aftertaste of the lemon. The only downer was our kebab had a bit of a gamey taste to it. Nothing too bad, but it was a bit much. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the whole scenery of the restaurant very cosy and vibing. Recommended if you want an authentic taste of Iraq/Iranian cuisine.

So I’ve never had Iraqi food in my life, and boy have I been missing out. This restaurant is legendary in my opinion, the food here was so good and so fresh. We ordered a little bit of everything - the hummus was so on point, and scooping it up with the hot fresh bread … YUM! The lentil soup was the best I’ve ever had. And the platter of grilled meats - flavorful, juicy, tender. I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat everything. Add to that awesome service and a great environment? Heaven!!! I’m gonna come here every time I pass thru KL.

a restaurant we found randomly on google, because my wife was craving a good middle eastern restaurant, but boy were we glad we found this place! food is excellent (their lamb is amazing!), service is excellent, staff are all very friendly and attentive. did i mention the food was excellent? even the plain flatbread was so good. if you're a fan of cardamom, do try their tea too! well worthy of their rating, and will definitely visit again.

5/5 ⭐ Samad Al Iraqi was honestly one of the BEST dining experiences we had in KL. Everything about this place was incredible. We started with the lentil soup and it was absolutely divine — comforting, rich, and full of flavour. The kind of soup you think about after you leave. The meal that followed was just as amazing; every dish was cooked perfectly and tasted exceptional. The interior of the restaurant is stunning — elegant, warm, and beautifully designed. It really adds to the whole experience and makes the meal feel special, not just another restaurant visit. From the food to the atmosphere, everything was spot on. One of those places you genuinely fall in love with. Highly recommend and would 100% return.
