Huge open air hawker centre that’s within minutes walk of Gurney Plaza, serving up Penang popular dishes. 🪑 Didn’t have quite the best of experience walking in after having a chair snatched away by stall no.97 dessert stall owner as we needed another chair for our bags.. do also note that stalls do leave their menu out on tables and you are required to patronise the stall if you are keen to sit on those tables. There is plenty of tables though, so pick one at the stall you would like to try - or go for a drink stall to keep it fluid. 🥢 Food wise, the CKT at stall 107 is decent though the queue is a little long, the remaining dishes were all average as well - nothing really stood out amongst those we tried. Mixed feelings here, thought it could have been a better experience in general if not for the unpleasant first encounter which was an honest mistake by us.

Tried both 71 (no lard) and 107 char okay teow side by side. My brother prefer 71 while I prefer 107 so it's really up to personal preference. Both has wok hey, might not be the best plate of ckt in penang but better than most ckt outside penang. We also had assam laksa (quite decent) , popiah (portion abit small, 1 serving only 3 pieces) and pasembur which turn out to be a very huge plate of savory rojak.

Nasi lemak near the entrance: 10/10 affordable, tasty, sambal was great. Oyster omelette: 7/10 (the flavor of the oyster bursts in your mouth. It was good but I wish they got spicy sauce instead. Sweet sauce just doesn’t go well with oyster.) Ais kacang: 6/10 (affordable and generous serving but wouldn’t try again just because the bubblegum flavor in it isn't my thing. I like cendol better.)

Famous area food stall in Penang. Near Gurney Plaza just 2 minutes walk. Very crowded at dinner time, quite challange to find the table, almost every table have name stall or menu on in, so you choose first where to sit and then the person's stall will ask you to buy them food or drink, after you buy you are ok to buy food or drink from other stall. I queuing for koay teaw, the queuing quite crazy, 45 minutes, the taste was so so, I think because so crowded many people buy the koay teaw. Other food I order peanut mochi /Muar chee stall, the taste so good, enak sekali.
