Iconic A&W Burger joint in PJ - always associated with the swimming pool next door. I’m glad it’s still Open for business- ideal place for a cold drink and a respite from the very hot weather. A&W chicken burger and fish sandwich are still good though portion is a bit small. Staffs were very busy and this it’s good to be patient and understanding. ♥️

A true PJ landmark that brings back a flood of memories from 20 odd years ago when this was the spot for late-night hangouts. While it has undergone a recent refresh, it feels more like a superficial facelift than a true modernization. The atmosphere is much quieter than its heyday, and the ordering system felt a bit disorganized and chaotic. It’s still a great spot for a nostalgic root beer float, but compared to the many 'chic' cafes around, it’s lost some of its original charm and struggle to keep pace with modern standards.

The newly renovated A&W in PJ successfully balances a fresh, modern polish with the soul of its classic, nostalgic vibe, making it a standout spot for longtime fans and newcomers alike. The upgraded space feels clean and inviting without losing that iconic drive-in charm we all grew up with. It remains the best place for escaping the heat with a frosty mug of root beer float, topped with that perfect swirl of creamy soft serve.

A&W delivers classic fast-food nostalgia. The Root Beer Float in a frosty mug is a must, and the chicken tenders with curly fries are crispy and satisfying. Fast service, clean place, and worth it for the vintage vibes.
