I visited Sweetree for the first time today with my friend. We were actually excited to try this place as it is quite popular on TikTok and known as a good Korean restaurant. At first, everything seemed fine. I ordered a set that included fried rice, octopus, and marinated chicken. The price looked reasonable when viewing the menu. However, during the waiting time, one of the waiters (I believe his name was Benjamin, if I’m not mistaken) accidentally spilled some side dishes on me, from my clothes all the way to my shoes. What disappointed me most was his reaction. there was no immediate concern or apology, and his response felt very indifferent. As someone who was already hungry, this really spoiled my mood. They did replace the spilled items, which I appreciate. But after that incident, the experience continued to go downhill. When the food arrived, the fire for grilling the chicken was too strong and caused our kimchi to burn. Since it was our first time there, we expected some assistance or guidance from the staff, but none?? Later, when I asked for a refill of the white cabbage side dish, it took quite time and only three small pieces were served. I asked another waiter if refills were usually given in such small portions, and was told yes. Shortly after, the same waiter who spilled food earlier came over, he was laughing and asked, “You want more?” His attitude made the situation even more uncomfortable for me. Although I did receive the refill, the overall service left me feeling annoyed and dissatisfied. The set was priced at RM189, and my total bill came to RM205 including tax. Personally, I do not feel comfortable paying service charges for this level of service. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience. I feel like I wasted my money on this visit.

i just dined in at this restaurant. this was my second visit because i love the food and the ambiance. the food was great, not gonna lie (although it was served cold), the service however was very disappointing. apparently , there is a 2-hour dine-in policy, which we were not aware of. we are more than happy to comply with the policy IF we are informed about it beforehand. however, the staff came to us and said, “encik dah lebih masa ya, ni pun saya dah bagi extra.” at that time, we were simply planning to order bingsu after our meal. when we informed him, he replied “boleh order, tapi kita bagi 45 minutes je. ni pun saya dah bagi masa lebih.” mind you, there were a lot of empty tables. it wasnt jam-packed, and there was no long queue outside. if that’s the case, we would totally understand and comply with. they/him (the particular staff) could have simply: 1. informed us about the rule before we dined in 2. given us a heads-up or a friendly reminder that our time was almost up. but no. no mention, no reminder, nothing. they just expected us to know and be aware. is this really how you treat your customers? your PAYING customers? the reason we stayed longer was because, in the middle of our meal, i got gastritis, so my fiance had to look for medicine at the nearest pharmacy. we didnt even get the opportunity to order bingsu because of the way we were treated (immediately lost my appetite), as if we hadnt ordered a full-course meal all it would have taken was a simple, polite explanation. not shooing us away. a clear lack of manners HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED with the poor service and treatment

First time coming here, and we tried their à la carte menu. Honestly, it was disappointing. (2/5) Ramyeon Tteokbokki (RM26.90) It was okay, nothing special. (2/5) Cheese Chikin – Yangnyeom (Sweet & Spicy) & Garlic Ramyeon Perinkeul (RM65.90) The chicken was not crispy at all—soggy, like poorly fried chicken. The cheese tasted very artificial and powdery. The chicken parts we received were also quite odd, with a lot of bones, especially rib sections. (0/5) Spicy Jjajangmyeon (RM25.90) Very bad. They used cili padi for the “spicy” version, which makes no sense for jjajangmyeon. Totally ruins the dish. If you want proper jjajangmyeon, NU Sentral does it much better. Environment & Staff: 1. The women’s toilet upstairs really needs fixing. One toilet seat was loose and literally detachable, while the other had a water pipe that was not functioning properly and was leaking. 2. We asked the staff how many pieces of chicken came with the “Cheese Chikin,” but he didn’t know. 3. Our side dishes arrived late—we had to request them before they realised they hadn’t been served yet. Overall, not a great first experience. First and last visit, I think—not worth the money. At least I got to try and compare. For nearby Korean food options, I’d recommend going to B Station or Gomonae instead.

Tried the Sun Dubu Jjigae, Dol Sot Bibimbap, Cheese Tteokbokki & Nok Cha Bingsu — everything was superb! 💯 The portions are quite big and perfect for sharing with family. The staff were very nice and helpful, making the whole dining experience even better. Had such a great time here and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended! oh, they also provide free side dish too!! ❤️
